Mikro yaşam kavramı, sınırlı yerleşim alanlarına sahip ve uygun fiyatlı evlerden yoksun olan birçok kentte giderek artmakta olan bir zorunluluktur. Bu nedenle, birçok ülke bu kavramı uygulamayı başarmış ve evlerdeki iç mekân alanını optimize ederek kalabalık şehirlerin olumsuz etkilerini azaltmıştır. Mikro dairelerin tasarımı, bireyin refahını etkileyebileceğinden önemlidir. Tüm mobilya ve eşyalar daireye sığmalı ve kullanıcı için rahat bir yaşam alanı oluşturmalıdır. Bu araştırma, dünyadaki farklı mikro daire tasarımlarını ve mikro yaşam tasarım tekniklerini inceleyip bunları bir durum çalışması olarak birleştirmektedir. Araştırmanın amacı, mikro yaşam tasarım yöntemlerini kullanarak mikro dairelerdeki mekânların nasıl büyütüldüğünü anlamak ve Türk ve Libyalı kullanıcıların mekânsal algı tercihlerini araştırmaktır. Durum çalışması için farklı tasarımlara sahip bilgisayarda modellenmiş iki mikro daire modeli geliştirilmiştir. Ekonomik, sosyal ve kültürel faktörleri göz önüne alarak mikro yaşama yönelik tutumları ve iki mikro daire modelindeki mekânsal tercihleri anlamak için Ankara, Türkiye'de bulunan 151 Türk ve Libyalı katılımcı ile bir anket çalışması gerçekleştirilmiştir. Katılımcılar oturma odası, mutfak, yatak odası ve banyo tasarımları bakımından iki mikro daire modelini değerlendirmişlerdir. Sonuçlar, katılımcıların mikro yaşama yönelik olumlu tutumlara sahip olduklarını ve cinsiyet, medeni durum ve gelirin en etkili faktörler olduğunu ortaya koymuştur. İki modelin değerlendirilmesinde, yatak odası için ikinci bir katı bulunan mikro daire mahremiyet açısından tercih edilmiştir. Çalışmanın sonuçları, tasarımcılara mikro daire tasarımlarında yardımcı olabilecektir.
The concept of micro-living is an emerging necessity in many urban cities that are suffering from limited residential spaces and lacking in affordable homes. Therefore, many countries have succeeded in implementing the concept and have reduced the negative impacts of the crowded cities by optimizing the interior home space. The design of micro-apartments is considered important since it can affect the well-being of the individual. All of the furniture and equipment have to fit in the apartment and provide a comfortable living environment for the user. This research studies different micro-apartment designs around the world and micro-living design techniques and incorporates them into a case study. The aim of the research is to understand how spaces can be maximized within micro-apartments with the micro-living design techniques and investigate the spatial perception preferences of Turkish and Libyan people towards micro-apartments. Two types of computerized micro-apartment models with different designs are developed for the case study. A questionnaire is conducted with 151 Turkish and Libyan participants living in Ankara, Turkey in order to understand the attitudes towards micro-living by considering economic, social and cultural factors, and the spatial preferences within the two models of a micro-apartment. The participants assessed the two models of micro-apartments with respect to the design of the living room, kitchen, bedroom and bathroom. The results indicated that the participants have positive attitudes towards micro-living, and gender, marital status and income are found to be the most influential factors in preferring to live in a micro-apartment. In the assessment of the two models, the micro-apartment with a second floor for the bedroom was preferred for privacy purposes. The results of the study can help designers when designing micro-apartments.
