Bu araştırma, Meslek Liselerinde görev yapan öğretmenlerle Anadolu Liselerinde görev yapan öğretmenlerin tükenmişlik düzeylerinin bazı değişkenlere göre anlamlı düzeyde farklılaşıp farklılaşmadığını belirlemek ve öğretmenlerin tükenmişliğiyle örgüt, öğrenciler, veliler ile ilgili, bireysel ve çevresel faktörler arasındaki ilişkiyi ortaya koymak amacıyla gerçekleştirilmiştir. Toplumların beşeri kaynaklarının verimliliğini negatif yönde etkileyen tükenmişlik sendromunun, Bilgi Toplumu'nun ihtiyaç duyduğu insanları yetiştirmekle görevli olan öğretmenler üzerinde olumsuz etkilerinin incelenmesi, yarattığı zararın tespit edilmesi ve önlenmesi, hem öğretmenlerin hem de onların yetiştireceği nesillerin, dolayısıyla toplumun ruh sağlığı için kritik bir önem arz etmektedir. Bu yüzden bu çalışma geleceğimizin inşasına önemli katkılar sağlayacağı inancını taşımaktadır. Çalışmanın tümü 3 bölümden oluşmaktadır. Birinci bölümde tükenmişlik tanımı, kavramı ve teorisi tüm modelleriyle ele alınmış, tükenmişlikle ilgili kavramlar, tükenmişliğin fiziksel, duygusal/bilişsel, davranışsal belirtileri ile sonuçlarına yer verilmiştir. İkinci bölümde Meslek Liseleri ve Anadolu Liselerinin kuruluşu ve amaçları hakkında bilgiler sunulmuştur. Üçüncü bölüm araştırmaya ayrılmış olup veri toplama yöntemi ile araştırmada elde edilen bulgular ve yorumları sonuç ve önerilere yer verilmiştir Uygulamada, veri toplama aracı olarak geliştirilen anket üç bölümden oluşmaktadır. Birinci bölümde "öğretmen kişisel bilgi formu" yer almaktadır. İkinci bölümde yer alan Maslach Tükenmişlik Envanteri (Maslach ve Jackson, 1981) ile öğretmenlerin tükenmişlik düzeyleri ölçülmüştür. Anketin son kısmında ise, öğretmenlerin tükenmelerine neden olan faktörleri ve bunların ağırlıklarını belirlemek amacıyla 5'li likert tipi, 66 soruluk özgün bir ölçek geliştirilmiştir. Araştırmanın evreni, Ankara ili Sincan ilçesi merkezinde bulunan Meslek ve Anadolu liselerinde çalışan öğretmenlerden oluşmaktadır. 2013-2014 eğitim öğretim yılı için toplam öğretmen sayısı 1385 olarak belirlenmiştir. Tezin uygulama kısmında %95 güven düzeyi ve ±%5 hata payı ile çalışmak hedeflenmiştir. Buna göre, evrenin 1000-2000 kişi arasında olduğu durumlar için yapılan hesaplamalara göre, %95 güven düzeyi ve ±%5 hata payı ile örnek büyüklüğünün 322'den küçük olmaması gerekmektedir (Sencer, 1989: 610). Bu nedenle de, araştırmanın örnek büyüklüğü 340 kişi olarak belirlenmiştir. Araştırma kapsamında uygulanan anketler incelendikten sonra, eksik veri barındıranlar elenmiş ve araştırmaya dahil edilebilecek anket sayısı 336 olarak belirlenmiştir. Verilerin analizinde kullanılacak anket formları, bilgisayara girilmek üzere kodlanmış ve veriler SPSS 21.0 paket programında tasnif edilmiştir. Maslach Tükenmişlik Ölçeği'nden elde edilen verilere bakıldığında Meslek Liselerinde çalışan öğretmenlerin tükenmişlik düzeyinin ( = 2,93) Anadolu Liselerinde çalışan öğretmenlerin tükenmişlik düzeyinden( = 2,75) daha fazla olduğunu söylemek mümkündür. Araştırma sonucunda elde edilen diğer bulgular aşağıdaki gibidir: •Örgütsel sorunlar, bireysel faktörler, eğitim politikaları, öğrencilere bağlı faktörler, fiziksel etkenler ve velilere bağlı faktörlerin öğretmenlerin tükenmişlik düzeyini arttırdığı, •Kadın ve erkek öğretmenlerin tükenmişlik düzeyleri arasında anlamlı bir farklılık bulunmadığı, •Yaşın öğretmenlerin tükenmişlik düzeylerinde anlamlı bir farklılık gösterdiği, •Medeni halin öğretmenlerin tükenmişlik düzeylerinde anlamlı bir farklılık göstermediği, •Gelir düzeyinin öğretmenlerin tükenmişlik düzeylerinde anlamlı bir farklılık göstermediği görülmüştür. Meslek Liselerinde çalışan öğretmenlerin tükenmişlik düzeylerine etki eden faktörlerde sıralamanın, en yüksekten en alçağa: örgütsel sorunlara bağlı faktörler (β=0,582), eğitim politikalarına bağlı faktörler (β=0,359), bireysel faktörler (β=0,237), öğrencilere bağlı faktörler (β=0,233), fiziksel koşullara bağlı faktörler (β=0,215) ve velilere bağlı faktörler (β=0,166) şeklinde olduğu görülmektedir. Anadolu Liselerinde çalışan öğretmenlerin tükenmişlik düzeylerine etki eden faktörlere bakıldığında örgütsel sorunlara bağlı faktörler (β=0,381), öğrencilere bağlı faktörler (β=0,312), eğitim politikalarına bağlı faktörler (β=0,301), fiziksel koşullara bağlı faktörler (β=0,264), bireysel faktörler (β=0,221), ve velilere bağlı faktörler (β=0,209) şeklinde olduğu görülmektedir.
The present research is carried out in order to determine whether the level of burnout of teachers working in Vocational and Anatolian High Schools differentiate significantly on the basis of some variables and to set forth the relation between level of burnout for teachers and individual, environmental factors related to organization, students and parents. Evaluation of the negative effects on teachers who are responsible for raising people needed by the Information Society of burnout syndrome which has a negative influence on the efficiency of human resources of societies, determination and prevention of the damage it creates has a critical importance for the sanity of both teachers, the generations they will raise and therefore the sanity of the society. Therefore this study believes it will contribute significantly to the building of our future. The entire study is comprised of three parts. In the first part, the definition, concept and theory of burnout are tackled with all its models; concepts regarding burnout, physical, emotional/cognitive, behavioral symptoms of burnout and its results are covered. In the second part, information pertaining to creation and objectives of Vocational High Schools and Anatolian High Schools are presented. Third part is allocated to research and provides the method of data collection, findings obtained in the research and commentaries, results and suggestions. In the implementation, the questionnaire developed in order to collect data is comprised of three parts. In the first part, 'teacher's personal information form' is available. Burnout levels for teachers are measured through the Maslach Burnout Inventory (Maslach and Jackson, 1981) present in the second part. In the last part of the questionnaire, an authentic scale comprised of 66 questions, 5-point Likert scale is developed in order to determine the factors leading to burnout in teachers and weight of those factors. The universe of the research is comprised of teachers in Vocational and Anatolian High Schools in Ankara Province's Sincan District. Total number of teachers for academic year 2013-2014 is specified as 1385. In the implementation part of the thesis the target was to work with a 95% confidence level and ±5% margin of error. According to this, on the basis of calculations made for situations where the universe is between 1000-2000 people, sample size should not be smaller than 322 together with 95% confidence level and ±5% margin of error (Sencer, 1989: 610). Therefore, sample size of research is defined as 340 persons. Following evaluation of questionnaires implemented in the scope of the research, the ones accommodating missing data are eliminated and number of questionnaires to be included in the research is defined as 336. Questionnaire forms to be used for the analysis of the data are encoded to be inserted into the computer and data are classified in the SPSS 21.0 packaged software. When we look at the data retrieved from Maslach Burnout Inventory it is possible to say that level of burnout for teachers working at Vocational High Schools ( = 2,93) is greater than that of teachers working in Anatolian High Schools ( = 2,75). Other findings obtained at the end of the research are as follows: •It is found that organizational issues, individual factors, education policies, factors related to students, physical factors and factors related to parents increase the level of burnout in teachers, •There are no meaningful differences between burnout levels for female and male teachers, •Age demonstrates a meaningful difference in the burnout levels of teachers, •Marital status does not demonstrate a meaningful difference in the burnout levels of teachers, •Level of income does not demonstrate a meaningful difference in the burnout levels of teachers. The ranking, from the highest to the lowest, regarding factors having an influence on the burnout levels of teachers working in Vocational High Schools are found to be factors associated to organizational issues (β=0,582), factors associated to education policies (β=0,359), individual factors (β=0,237), factors associated to students (β=0,233), factors associated to physical conditions (β=0,215) and factors associated to parents (β=0,166). When we look at the factors influencing burnout levels of teachers working in Anatolian High Schools, are found to be factors associated to organizational issues (β=0,381), factors associated to students (β=0,312), factors associated to education policies (β=0,301), factors associated to physical conditions (β=0,264), individual factors (β=0,221) and factors associated to parents (β=0,209).
