dc.description.abstract The main objective of this article is to propose an alternative historiography to 19th century Ottoman architecture, without the Eurocentric paradigms, by including the 'unseen' actors of this history, namely the disregarded provincial architecture. The provincial mosques constituting the case studies of the article point to a previously neglected part of the historiography by changing the emphasis from the capital to the provinces. tr_TR
