dc.description.abstract One of the main important tasks for sustainable development is to boost energy efficiency. Based on Energy Performance of Buildings Directive (EPBD) revealed in 2002 by European Union (EU) 40% of energy is consumed by buildings. In the same directive for energy efficiency a new model called Energy Performance Certification (EPC) is introduced and since then has been used by member and related countries. For a better sustainable development, this research aims to define conceptual framework to develop next generation of EPC with providing dynamic data gathering to monitor energy consumption of the buildings. Next generation EPC is designed to be a part of smart grid system and will be adapted as a plug-in. Considering the huge building stock in EU member and related states, new EPC will provide benefits not only for governing bodies but also energy companies (producers and suppliers) and users with real time dynamic data generation. tr_TR
