Erken Cumhuriyet dönemi kent parklarının belediyeler dergisi üzerinden incelenmesi

Abstract

Erken Cumhuriyet Dönemi mimarlığı bir devir kapanırken yeni bir devletin kuruluşunu ve ulusun değişen hayatının mimarlığa nasıl yansıdığı anlamak adına Türkiye mimarlık tarihinde önemli bir yere sahiptir. Türkiye Cumhuriyeti'nin kurulmasıyla birlikte yeni bir devletin inşa süreci başlamıştır. Cumhuriyet yönetim biçiminin benimsenmesiyle birlikte birçok yenilik yapılmış, cumhuriyetin ihtiyaç duyduğu yeni kamusal mekânlar bu inşa sürecinde şehirlerde yapılmıştır. Cumhuriyetin kurulduğu ilk yıllarda, kentlerde imar planlamaları oluşturulmuş bu imar planlarında cumhuriyetin ideolojisini yansıtan kent parkları yapılmıştır. Kent parkları, halkın yeni sosyal yaşamının bir parçası olarak eğlenme, dinlenme, egzersiz yapma, toplanma gibi ihtiyaçları karşılamıştır. Parklar cumhuriyet şehirlerinin seküler kamusal mekânlarından biri olarak vazgeçilmez bir parçası olmuş, bazı şehirlerde belediye parkı olarak bazı şehirlerde ise daha büyük ölçekte tasarlanmıştır. Şehirlerde yapılan imar faaliyetlerinde belediyeler aktif bir şekilde rol almıştır. Erken Cumhuriyet Dönemi'nde Belediyeler Dergisi çıkarılmış, belediyelerin yapmış olduğu imar faaliyetleri bu dergide paylaşılmıştır. Belediyeler Dergisi'nde devletin bakış açısından ülkede yapılan çalışmaları analiz etmek mümkün olmuştur. Bu tez çalışmasında, Erken Cumhuriyet Dönemi mimarlığında kentin önemli odak noktalarından biri olan kent parkları, Belediyeler Dergisi üzerinden incelenmiş, şehirlerde yapılan kent parkları, yapım yılı, plancısı, çevresi ile ilişkisi, peyzaj öğeleri, anıt ve yapılar, günümüzdeki kullanım durumuna göre değerlendirilmiştir.

The architecture of the Early Republican Period has an important place in the history of Turkish architecture in order to understand how the establishment of a new state and the changing life of the nation reflected on architecture as the architecture was closing in an era. With the establishment of the Republic of Turkey, the process of building a new state has begun. With the adoption of the republic's form of government, many innovations were made, and the new public spaces needed by the republic were built in the cities during this construction process. In the first years of the establishment of the Republic, zoning plans were created in the cities and urban parks reflecting the ideology of the republic were built in these zoning plans. As part of the people's new social life, urban parks have met the needs of the people such as fun, relaxation, exercise and gathering. The parks have become an indispensable part of the secular public spaces of the republic's cities, and in some cities, they are designed as municipal parks on a larger scale in some cities. Municipalities have taken an active role in the zoning activities carried out in the cities. In the early Republican period, the Journal of Municipalities was published, and the zoning activities carried out by the municipalities were shared in this journal. In the Journal of Municipalities, it was possible to analyze the work done in the country from the point of view of the state. In this thesis, city parks, which are one of the important focal points of the city in early Republican architecture, were examined through the Journal of Municipalities, city parks made in cities, year of construction, planner, relationship with the environment, landscape elements, monuments and structures have been evaluated according to the current state of use.
